This is an accessibility statement from Curt Henrichs LLC for the Half-Built-Robots website.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Half-Built-Robots is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Limitations and alternatives

Despite my best efforts, there may be limitations. Known limitations:

  1. The large image at the top of each post is marked decorative, so screen readers skip it. The post title sits on top of it and carries the meaning. Every other image on the site has alt text.

Assessment approach

Curt Henrichs assessed the accessibility of this site by self-evaluation. Every change to the site also runs an automated WCAG 2.2 A and AA check (axe-core) against one page of each kind, in both the light and dark themes, plus a keyboard walk of the home page’s focus order.
