Privacy Policy

This policy describes what information the Half-Built-Robots website, owned by Curt Henrichs LLC, collects and what happens to it. The short version: this is a static blog, and it collects almost nothing.

What this site collects

There are no user accounts, no comments, and no ads on this site. The site sets no cookies. Search runs entirely in your browser.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like nearly every host, Cloudflare may keep standard request logs (your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request) as part of serving the site.

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. Cloudflare adds a small script to each page for this. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not follow you to other sites. What it produces is a tally of which pages got read.

Mailing list

The site has a mailing list signup. If you subscribe, the email address you provide is used to send you the newsletter and nothing else. It is not sold or shared. Addresses are stored and mail is sent by Buttondown. If the list ever moves to another provider, the addresses move with it and this policy is updated to name the new one. You can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or by asking using the contact information below; the details are on the mailing list page.

Posts link to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own; this policy covers only this site.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Your data

If you want to know what this site holds about you, or want it removed, write to the address below. For nearly everyone the answer is nothing. The only thing ever held is a mailing list address, and the unsubscribe link in any email removes that on its own. If you are in the EU or UK and think a request was handled badly, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

Updates to this policy are posted on this page with a new date at the top.

The email address is a Gmail account, so mail sent to it is also handled by Google under Google’s privacy policy.
